Half-Day Trekking Tour: Explore the Natural Monument Milodon Cave
This half-day trekking excursion allows visitors to fully explore the Milodon Cave Natural Monument, located just 24 km from the city of Puerto Natales.
The tour coordinates pick-up from the passengers' accommodation, either in the morning at 10:00 a.m. or in the afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The transfer to the entrance of this protected area takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival, passengers pay the entry fee, which varies based on nationality and age. The transport then heads to the area known as the “Small Cave,” where LED flashlights are provided for exploring the cavern. Afterward, the vehicle moves to the parking area of the “Devil’s Chair,” a large rock formation that can be climbed to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape. From here, the tour continues with a 45-minute round-trip hike to the “Middle Cave,” passing through forests of coigües and ñirres.
Finally, the transport takes passengers to the main cave, undoubtedly the most visited of the three. It’s in this cave where German explorers discovered remains of the Milodon, and today, thousands of tourists take photos with the replica found inside.
The entry fee can be paid with a debit or credit card at https://www.pasesparques.cl.
